We were with Millie and Will for just three and a half hours at their Norwich Castle wedding, and somehow it felt like we witnessed a whole novel.
From the moment we arrived at Norwich Castle, it was clear this day wasn’t going to be about perfect weather. It was going to be about heart, history, and the kind of love that doesn’t care if the heavens open. And open they did.
It rained. Properly. All day. The kind of rain that batters umbrellas and tests even the most optimistic souls. Did it matter? Not even slightly. Millie and Will embraced every second, laughing through it, running through it, and proving that great weddings aren’t made by sunshine; they’re made by people.
One of the most special parts of this Norwich Castle wedding was Millie wearing her grandmother’s dress, a beautiful piece of family history that carried so much meaning. There’s something incredibly powerful about wearing a dress that has already witnessed love once before. It added such a layer of depth and emotion to the morning.
There were quiet little moments too, like a tucked-away kiss in the arcade in Yalm, just the two of them stealing a second together. Those in-between moments are often our favourites.
Three and a half hours. Biblical rain. Zero complaints. Ten out of ten, we’d do it all again.
