Assembly House wedding | Cute, chic city wedding

September 22, 2020

This was our first ever wedding at The Assembly house Norwich and it didn’t disappoint. Nestled in the centre of Norwich and famed for its afternoon tea (UPDATE -we’ve since this blog become frequent visitors in our free time. In fact Lisa celebrated her 30th and we’re having our xmas dinner at the Assembly House. It’s our FAVOURITE place to eat). The Assembly house is perfect if you want a city wedding with historic charm. This Grade I listed Georgian gem was designed by Thomas Ivory in 1754 and is now regarded as one of the most important buildings in Norwich. Perfect for small or larger weddings.

Sophie and David started their wedding day at home, then held their ceremony and wedding breakfast at the Assembly house.

Despite all the gloom arising from the pandemic, love will find a way! Weddings have changed, at least temporarily and couples are finding a way to get married within the new and ever altering rules. Tiny wedding photography is now a thing and we’re loving the challenge of giving epic photos in these new settings. Here’s the Assembly House wedding of Sophie and David who made a tiny and special plan to get married with only their close family around them. 8 brilliant people made a big day happen in style!

We’ve really got to give special mention to the staff at The Assembly House, especially Naomi who did a spectacular job of arranging everything at short notice. Genuinely we were so impressed how perfect everything was. We can’t wait to get back to this beautiful venue for more wedding fun!

If you’re in the early planning phases and looking for a wedding or reception venue, do look at the Assembly House, it’s lush. Of course it’s included in our helpful blog Norfolk wedding venues. In fact if you’re planning a wedding at all, contact us, we love chatting weddings!
