Shouldham Warren shoot | Isabella and K-Ryan

December 27, 2024

We woke up on the day of Isabella and K-Ryan’s Shouldham Warren shoot and immediately checked the weather forecast. Panic set in—we were due torrential rain. Now, we don’t really care; we’re British wedding photographers, and it comes with the territory. However, we completely understand that the majority of couples do not want to stand around in the pissing rain.

We messaged Isabella and K-Ryan, and they were completely unfazed. We love it when couples roll with whatever the weather throws at them, just like Isabella and K-Ryan did. It’s all part of the adventure; honestly, those raindrops can add such a magical touch to the photos. In between showing off the beautiful, rain-spattered moments from their shoot, we’ve sprinkled in a few questions that Isabella and K-Ryan answered, giving us all a little peek into their love story.

Where did you meet?

We met on Tinder back in March 2020! After multiple Covid lockdowns, we decided that if we could get through that, we could get through anything!

Tell us about the proposal.

We were enjoying a long weekend in the Lake District, staying at a beautiful little hotel. On one of our hikes, K-Ryan got down on one knee next to a waterfall, it was perfect!

This couple shoot malarkey, how did that work out for you?

We decided to do a couple shoot as a practice for the wedding. Neither of us had ever done anything like it before, and we felt a little nervous about posing.

We had an absolutely fantastic time with Lisa and Neil! From the moment we met them, they made us feel completely at ease, and they captured some truly stunning shots in a gorgeous location. We have to mention the weather—it was torrentially raining, but they didn’t miss a beat! Their professionalism and positive energy kept the shoot running smoothly. We’re sooo thrilled we’ve chosen them to shoot our wedding and see them again!

Which photo is your favourite?

Isabella’s favorite photo is one of the first ones we took by the silver birch trees—there’s something so magical about it. K-Ryan’s favorite is the one in the bracken; it really captures the adventure and fun we had on the shoot.

So, where is the big day happening?

We’re getting married at Titchwell Manor.

What are you looking forward to most?

We can’t wait to have all of our favourite people in one place, celebrating love, eating, drinking, and dancing the night away.

Best planning advice?

Book the suppliers you love , trust your instincts, and don’t get caught up in trends or other people’s opinions. It’s your day, so focus on what’s important to you as a couple!

(Also all the tips on Lisa and Neil’s instagram are so handy!!!)

And the worst planning advice?

The worst advice we’ve been given is to stick to traditions just because “that’s how it’s always done.” While traditions can be meaningful and we’ll definitely be doing the ones we believe are important, but we’ve realised it’s more important to focus on what feels authentic to us as a couple.
